守拙：然，谁能守此心？老子只言：“大巧若拙！”

   王弼怕后人不能领会，为《老子》加注：“大巧因自然以成器；不造为异端；故若拙也。”

拙，在老子看来，就是素朴。道家认为，素朴而天下莫能与之争美。就像道德经所言：“水善利万物而不争，夫唯不争，故无尤。”

Remaining humble: therefore, who could remain the beginner’s mind? Lao Tzu answered:”The greatest wisdom is to remain humble!”

Being afraid of the descendant’s misunderstanding to the book Tao Te Ching, philosopher Wang Bi made an annotation for it: “Instead of strange and abnormal methods, the greatest skill creates implements through nature ways; that is caled humble.” In Lao Tzu’s view, humble means simple and modest. Taoism thinks, simplicity is the beauty that can overcome all the other things in the world. As the sentence mentioned in Tao Te Ching: Water is able to operate the universe, but it never feel be arrogant. It is only the attitude of humble that keeps a peace world.

此案位于商业中心区与高尚住宅区之间，是一处闹中取静的办公公共空间。拾级而上映入眼帘的是区域清晰的外大厅甬道、前厅、内厅，通过直线划分区域，简单而直接。

整体基调以白木纹大理石、透明落地玻璃、铝合金格栅等当代装饰材料与废弃断瓦残砖、景观废弃枯木、拙扑原木墩等，进行碰撞并融合产生强烈的视觉冲击与文化氛围。前厅与内厅，内外全明呼应，使得空间拥有强烈的纵深感。

Located between the commercial center and the top-end residential area, the space is a public office that enables a quite environment among the noisy neighborhood. Ascending the stair, the clear-divided path, lobby and hall leap to the eyes respectively. The whole space is divided by straight lines, which can directly reveal the relationship of rooms.

As a whole, designer uses modern decoration materials such as marbles with white wooden pattern, transparent french windows and aluminum grids, other materials like abandoned tiles and bricks, dead woods and logs are also used to mix together and create a strong visual impact and cultural atmosphere. Therefore, the lobby and hall can echo each other and enable a space depth.

充满历史痕迹新旧砖瓦墙与休闲拙朴的陈设，无一不在诉说着：尊重传承与向往自然的心境。令空间产生舒缓的磁场，以此来形成氛围核心。

前厅与内厅在功能处理上，将区域空间进行直线分割，使之成为既是公共共享大堂又可作为文化艺术展厅，有效的提升空间品位与应用价值。大面的落地玻璃将住宅区内的园林景观充分的借景轻松的引入室内，移步换景之余，自然生态、宁静清新观感幽然而生。

The combination of historical brick wall and leisure and humble decoration manifests a mood of inheriting-respect and nature-loving, which enables a relax space and therefore create the core of the atmosphere.

Concerning to the function of lobby and hall, straight line division is used to separate the space and making the space both a public sharing hall and a culture and art exhibition hall, which is capable of improving the space’s taste and the application value. The large french windows bring in the garden view from the residential area, during the changing of view step by step, the nature, Eco-friendly and tranquil atmosphere are therefore nurtured.

呈现这份不争之美，是和自己对话的过程，其中用材和采光问题都涉及到守拙的哲学思考，是一种存在之道，是人在这个环境中存在状态的回归。这个和自己对话的过程中，还需要假设人们存在其中是否能领悟到守拙境界，从而达到共鸣；例如陶渊明，不仅诗垂后世，人格也是流芳百世，并不在于他选择退隐，而在于他树立了一种本然素朴的精神风范。而此番我归来，亦是怀着抱朴守拙之态，呈现一个真实的作品，在向“大巧因自然以成器”的老子追寻之时，亦是向“开荒南野，守拙归田”的先贤致敬。 

The demonstration for the beauty of “humble” is a course of talking to oneself. The questions for material using and lighting are related to philosophy thinking of “remaining humble”. It is a method of existence and a return for people who live in this environment. During the course of talking to oneself, it needs people to live as if they can achieve the realm of “remaining humble” so as to resonate. For example, the great poet Tao Yuanming, who was both famous for his poems and personality; however, the reason for his fame is not only due to his solitary, but also the simple, humble and pure mind he created. This time I am back, with the attitude of remaining humble, I also want to show a true work. By pursuing Lao Tzu’s thinking: the greatest wisdom is to remain humble, I also want to show my respect the ancestors that reclaimed wasteland, remained humble and went back to the nature.
