项目背景：

Project name: Chenpicun of Xinhui Distri

项目所在地为广东省江门市新会区，原建筑是一个室内面积10万m²的铁皮厂房群。根据当地浓厚的陈皮文化及其发展需求，把旧厂房建设为一个多功能的大型特色农产品商业综合体。其中竹建筑和竹装饰面积约4万m²。

Our project locates in Xinhui District of Jiangmen city,Guangdong province. There were several factories which made iron sheet mainly, covering 100 thousand square kilometers inside. Following the needs to popularize their orange peels, the owners decided to transform the old factories into a home to special agricultural products in large scale.The construction and decoration of bamboos designing have covered an area of 40 thousand square kilometers.

The idea of sustainable development :

• 建筑材料为环保材料——竹材，聘请当地竹匠进行手工建造，一次成型，形成的建筑垃圾极少且无污染；竹材源自当地，运输的能耗与成本低；项目聘用140名竹匠参与建造，为当地社区创造了就业，也为传统手工技艺的传承提供了机会。

Bamboos, as the main material, are environmentally friendly. We recruited the local craftsmen to make the material basically in one piece and avoided a great deal of pollution and waste. The bamboos were taken from the locals, which saved energies and reduced our costs. Simultaneously, we provided the local people with new jobs when we recruited 140 craftsmen to the project. Their artistry could be inherited by the chance.

2、充分利用厂房建筑高大的特点，把铁皮屋顶日晒受热快的缺点转变为创造室内自然通风的条件，根据烟囱效应原理，用竹材在室内做出隔热穹顶，让室内空气对流形成自然通风，高大的公共空间无需使用空调，减少使用过程中的能源损耗。

We made it possible to enjoy the natural ventilation under the iron sheet roofs. The workshops of the factories with iron sheets on the top are easy to be heated. However, they are huge enough to be transformed. Inspired by the stack effect principle, we used the bamboos to make the thermal insulation under the roofs. Thus ,the air flows inside fluently and air conditioner could be avoided there to save more energy.

• 竹材作为建筑构造和装饰材料，其具有的独特肌理和材料韧性，在塑造建筑时呈现出意想不到的飘逸形态以及自然之美。竹建筑丰富的空间元素和混搭的装饰风格，满足游人对空间变化的多元诉求。

The features of bamboos diverse the factors in the space interior and mix with other decorations, which appeals to the needs of multitudinous changes inside.

• 使用竹材将建筑结构、空间、装饰三者用竹子合而为一：竹子既是陈皮村的建筑结构，也是建筑的围合，同时也是建筑的装饰，少量的混凝土与钢结构作为基础，使得建筑安全且便于维护。

We use bamboos in the whole part of the construction, to architect, shape and decorate the new workshops. Based on the simple concrete foundation with steels to make them stable, the transformed factories are constructed with bamboos, surrounded by the bamboos and even are beautified by the bamboos.

• 陈皮村的竹建筑打破传统，形成当地的一种独特的、标志性的文化特色展示。当建筑达到它的使用寿命以后，拆除后的竹子可自行降解，而最为珍贵的土地资源得到还原，新的建筑又将是新商业的开始。

The designing of bamboos in Chenpicun is a great breakthrough.It forms an unique and iconic signs of local culture.When the bamboos have to be dismantled for no useful life left ,they could be degraded.Thus the precious land would be recovered,and there will be a brand new landscape to be constructed.

• 陈皮村的综合配套完善，对于当地商业经济、旅游、农业发展都起到了促进的作用。陈皮村除了农业买卖以外，更增设中心舞台、美食都会、陈皮文化体验中心、农业O2O平台。陈皮村2013年营业至今，曾达一天接待50万游客的高峰，为新农业旅游发展带来了商机。

Comprehensive complete and perfect for the local business economy, tourism, agriculture and development have played a facilitating role.
